6V6G Beam Power Tube, various brands
The 6V6 family came in many constructions and was very popular as the final audio stage of broadcast receivers.
The valves were capable of push-pull use but the normal environment was as a single end output stage.
The thin metal tube envelope is 25 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 68 mm tall. The maximum diameter of the base is 33 mm.
The 6V6 was first introduced in 1937.
