6K7 / VT-86 Sylvania

The 6K7 is a variable-μ voltage amplifier pentode and was designed for RF and IF amplifiers in 'modern' superhet type receivers employing AGC circuitry. It dates to the mid 1930s. It is high impedance allowing for a high Q in the tuned anode circuit.
